A few dear friends and I have been going on "freedom trips" lately. Small day trips exploring new places, eating good food, and getting away from the worries of life. It has been amazing. Heart warming. Good for the soul. Something that has quickly become a necessary tradition. Freedom-- It is something you have to make space for, something you have to put forth good hard effort towards to achieve. Such a simple concept-- to live freely--is so hard for this anxious heart of mine. I'm extremely blessed to have friends who force me to let go, love others, and enjoy the moment.
I've been really enjoying watercolor as a medium for typography lately. There is something so fluid about it that makes it freeing. Here are some photos of the process behind week 25/52 for the Fifty Two Verses project.
Spent a summer evening a few weeks ago taking photos with my brother, and chasing the last bits of sunlight.
A little tour around my home.
